Diabetic Awareness Month

Diabetes Awareness Month

November is Diabetes Awareness Month celebrated to raise awareness for both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.

There are over 425 million people worldwide with diabetes. In the United States, 9.4% of the population (30.3 million)  have diabetes. Another 84.1 million have pre-diabetes, a condition that if not treated often leads to type 2 diabetes within five years.

The disease continues to represent a growing health problem but knowing the signs and taking health & lifestyle precautions can help lower your risk of developing it.

To help people protect their feet Dr. Segal's is proud to offer a stylish alternative to the plain and generic diabetic socks currently on the market. After all, being at a high risk for foot injuries doesn’t mean you need to sport ugly socks!
